Dave Scotts Triathlon Training Dave Scott’s Triathlon Training Customer Review: A bible for athletes
This is sinmple a must read for any one wanting to do a triathlon…no matter what level you are.

It could do with a little up dating as it was written in the 80’s but this really shouldnt put you off…buy it, read it, get fit!

Customer Review: In Depth material
This book may not suit a beginner or first timer triathlete…but after saying that…there are wonderful bits and pieces that would be helpful. But reading it from beginning to end would be too detailed for those just wanting to get to the finish line (I recommend “triathlon 101″).

It also details a 12-week, step-by-step, base-building program that you can use to work up to racing distances. The instruction, time management tips, and drills in Triathlon Training will help you make the most effective use of each training day. Insights from athletes profiles and information on nutrition, supplements, and equipment offer additional ways to maximize training as you prepare for competition. The book examines the most common triathlon injuries, offers advice on preventing those injuries, and details how to treat and recover from them, should they occur.
Customer Review: Excellent book about triathlons
I am new to triathlons but have been an avid runner for years. This book thoroughly describes how to become a triathlete. It has detailed training plans for anyone from a beginner to an experienced triathlete. I can see myself using this book for years to come.
Customer Review: Great for the very beginner interested in testing themselves
The book breaks down tough terms and products with recommendations on the best overall gear to use during the race. The fitness plans forced me to take a serious look at my swimming endurance. I can run and bike but the book helped me train my way into this critical portion of the race.

The Triathletes Guide to Off-Season Training (Ultrafit Multisport Training Series) The Triathlete’s Guide to Off-Season Training (Ultrafit Multisport Training Series)

To maintain fitness and improve performance, triathletes need to use their less rigorous off-season for training. This book shows athletes how to make it productive and enjoyable by adhering to a plan with less monotony and more variety. Triathletes are coached in determining limiters and setting training objectives, practicing yoga, using efficient drills to improve swimming, cycling, and running, and doing alternative cardiovascular conditioning activities — which releases them from the same old training plan and increases their overall commitment.

Customer Review: Good Book but would have liked more information
This book was great but I would have liked more information on what workouts to plan when. It gives you an overview of an off-season training plan.
