The first modern trampoline is credited to two men by the names of Larry Griswold and George Nissen. Both men were involved in gymnastics and had friends in the circus industry. Both also had experience mending the trapeze artists’ nets and were inspired by the elasticity of the nets. Invitations to the fairy princess party could be designed as scrolls announcing the ball in the Kingdom of Princess Annie. These scrolls could be rolled up and hand delivered to each guests as a clever way to kick off the theme. Once the children arrive they can each be announced properly as Lady of their last name and enter the room where the party is to be held. After settling down at the fairy princess party the guests can play dress up with tiaras, feather boas and pairs of mom s high heels. Roll construction paper into a cone shape and have ribbon coming out of the top as a lovely hat for the fairy princess. Make sure to staple elastic string to ensure the hat stays on the head of every princess. Of course, no fairy princess party is complete without tea time. Make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches the cut them into round shapes as tea sandwiches. A biscuit cutter makes cutting the sandwiches a breeze. Seat the princesses around the table with a teacup and saucer in front of the …

I say this because most materials on the market today are very lightweight and not suitable. They get knotted and tangled easily and often fray at the edges. It is best to use a satin, heavy nylon or silk material. The weight is particularly important in order to be able to work the ribbon and so produce the right shapes with it, and equally to allow it to fly efficiently through the air in the throwing elements. The ribbon needs to be between 4cm and 6cm in width, but the length will vary according to the size and ability of the gymnast. Only the advanced and senior gymnast should be working with the full 6m length. It is recommended that beginners start with a 4 1/2m ribbon, and young children use a ribbon perhaps as short as 3m. If you are going to make your own ribbon, buy more than the required length, so that the first part of the ribbon, near to the stick, can be double thickness. This assists the work of the ribbon by giving extra weight near the attachment. However, because i …
