It is extremely powerful stuff and is part of the Hindu religion and a way of life. Yoga is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian Philosophy. It is a science that has been practiced for thousands of years. Yoga is anything but aerobics, not gymnastic. There are those who think Yoga is nothing else but standing on one’s head or sitting somewhere in a Buddha-like posture without moving. Or they believe it is a religion. Yoga is a practical aid, not a religion. A male who practices yoga is called a yogi, a female practitioner, a yogini. Yoga philosophy consists of eight limbs. Ashtanga which basically means asth (Eight) and Anga (limbs) or eight parts of yoga. Which includes, Yum, Niyam, Asana, Pranayma, dyana, pratyahar, dharana and samadhi. This is where the playing field of the competition is at its most level. Granted, gymnastics judging is not a science, and there can be mistakes made. This is why it is always good to have an idea of what the judges are looking at when they make their decisions. I’m here to help! First, judges take a look at whether or not your gymnast has followed the rules of attendance. Each meet may have a different dress code, but most typically, associations will ask that long hair be tied back close to the head, that jewelry be removed, and that all clothing that may prove a safety issue be removed. If your gymnast is not in accordance with these rules, his or her participation may be interrupted until the issue can be resolved. Barring that, the judges rating is based entirely upon the gymnastic performance. Since there are so many different kinds of gymnastics, we ll just give you the basics in common to all of them. So the days when I could walk into the gym several times a week and perform a 60-min workout is gone, I don’t have that time anymore! Do I stop exercising because of that? Of course not, I find options to other things I can do from the comfort of my own home that takes me 15-20 min per day, and that’s where the amazing effect of Circuit Training comes in handy.
