Simple formula: good genes, good health lucky you, long life. Bad genes, poor health, illness, short life. In reality genetics only play a 6 - 10 % role in how long you will live. The amount of candles on your birthday cake is mostly determined by the choices you make every day especially exercise and food. The downward spiral of degeneration is not automatic or an inevitable part of the aging process. The shame of it is most of us age at an accelerated rate surrendering to the downward spiral and we don’t even know it. We slowly lose the will and energy to stay strong and active, muscles and joints begin to become stiff and painful. It hurts to move so and we start to make excuses not to have to. This loss of function doesn’t happen out of the blue, it has been going on beneath the surface for years sometimes decades. It sneaks up on us; we lose a bit here and a bit there. We stop doing things, maybe a sport or activity that we used to enjoy. Or maybe we hire somebody to mow the lawn …

The body must also show tension, any movement, particularly of the limbs, or any slight relaxing of the muscles will cause a wobble and so pull the body off balance. The body line must be exact, and the body shape held, without the shoulders hunching up. Attitude Balance This position is as described in the pivot turn above. The attitude is a ballet position, and is effective when held with the weight still over one foot. Arabesque Balance Another ballet position, this time with the leg extended high behind. The higher the leg will go, the lower the shoulders are permitted to drop. However, do not allow the line of the back to break, i.e. do not let the leg stay low and the shoulders drop down as this creates a poor line of the body. Balances on other parts of the body, though interesting and seemingly easy, become more difficult when the apparatus skill is added, for it is difficult to maintain the motion of the apparatus during low level balance. Equally, balances on a flat foot are …

It reduces stress on your bodies muscles, bones and joints due to the unique buoyancy properties of water. Your body is completely supported by the water as you perform your exercise routines. In the same way that land based aerobics comprise routines performed rhythmically accompanied or unaccompanied by music and reach different levels of intensity, aquatic aerobic exercises can become more advanced in levels and are performed with and without music. As an example, a basic water exercise routine may teach simple beginner leg movements which may or may not progress in intensity, frequency, intricacy and duration for an advanced level of exercise. Customer Review: Pleased
Strong, solid, easy to inflate with pump, no smell. Makes a great chair for ‘active sitting’!
Customer Review: Not quite right
My husband bought this ball to sit on at his desk to help with posture. Unfortunately at 6 feet tall and 175 lbs the ball wasn’t tall enough. On the bright side our 3 year old was able to pump it all the way up. We did use the measuring strip that came with it to ensure it had proper inflation. Prior research indicated a 65 cm ball would be adequate. Apparently a 75 cm ball would have been a better choice.
