The Marathon and Half Marathon: A Training GuidePosted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastics Training
As this study shows, the popularity of the marathon and half marathon has increased dramatically in recent years. Growing numbers of people have become aware of the life-changing experiences and the health benefits that result from training for, and competing in, a 13.1 - or 26.2 - mile race. Notwithstanding this, these events are extremely testing endurance races and entrants need to be properly informed so that they can train and prepare in an appropriate way. This handbook discusses everything you need to know, including choosing the right clothes and running shoes, the importance of stretching and core stability, and even post-race nutrition and hydration.

Gymnastics Summer Camp - Yes or No?Posted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastic Sites and The Best ArticlesSummer is often a very slow time in the gym business and they can use the business. Before you decide to spend money outside of your own gym, you should seriously consider spending it in your own gym first. No Coach is Going to Work Harder Than Your Own No camp coach is going to be more interested and dedicated to training your gymnast than your own coaches in your own gym. Coaches at gymnastics camps are usually either the coach of some other team or high school or college gymnasts. They have their own gymnasts or gymnastics career to think about that does not directly involve your child. A Week at Camp Doesn t a Gymnast Make It is possible that a new coaching perspective can sometimes bump forward a gymnast s progress, but one week or so is not likely to have lasting training value. In essence, your gymnasts progress is going to depend on the training they receive from your own coaches on a year round basis, not a one week at a commercial summer camp. Life After Gymnastics - Is There One?Posted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastic Sites and The Best ArticlesProfessional gymnastics, gymnastics coaching, performances, and theater are only a few of the options beyond the aforementioned — quite literally, the sky is the limit. Professional gymnastics In terms of professional gymnastics there are quite literally dozens of substyles to choose from, all of which stem either from rhythmic gymnastics or artistic gymnastics. Dancing, juggling, tumbling, rolling, vaulting, horse and beams can be involved in a professional competition. Even the rings, which are limited only to men, are offered. Lucrative and fun for your gymnast, the professional sport is typically reserved for those who are extremely well-qualified. Lots of gymnasts who participate, though, are fresh out of school. No rule states that one must be an Olympic champion in order to enter a contest for money. Obviously, the gymnast must be prepared both physically and mentally. Of course, if your gymnast is the best in his or her local or state division, then he or she may want to go f … Tags: Artistic Gymnastics, Beams, Dozens, Gymnast, Gymnasts, Juggling, Money, Olympic Champion, Professional Coaching, Professional Competition, Professional Sport, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Rule States, Sky Is The Limit, Vaulting HorseBad news! He’s going to play against teams from out of town and it will cost you a lot of money. Or this one that just happened to me a few days ago: Good news! Your daughter just classified herself for the Nationals in gymnastic. Bad news! You live in Montreal and the Nationals are in Vancouver. It is going to cost you $2000 to send her there. Bad news again! The Nationals are in 3 weeks ;-( Like I said, I witnessed a lot of these events during the years. That made me create, 5 years ago, my own foundation to financially help young gymnasts (boys and girls) and there parents to participate in important events. No parents want to announce to their child that they won’t be participating in a big event because of the lack of funds. But unfortunately, it happens. Can you prepare yourself to prevent that? Of course you can

Save Money On Treadmills When You Know HowPosted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastic Sites and The Best ArticlesYou can easily read a book or watch over the kids while you work out on your home treadmill. The belt or deck is the area on which the actual running or walking takes place. Treadmill belt widths generally range from 17″ to 22″ and lengths from 51″ to 61″. Treadmill cushioning absorbs the force of your step; get good cushioning to lower the impact on your joints and ligaments. A heart rate monitor is a very good, useful feature to look for on a machine. Notice that some treadmill heart rate monitors clip onto an ear or, for more accurate readings, strap onto the chest. One of the key things to remember is that the larger motors tend to run cooler and usually require less repair and maintenance. A pre-programmed workout registers your heart rate without being connected to the treadmill by a cord or wire. People, who don’t have enough room for a bulky exercise machine, may want to consider a folding treadmill; they collapse to allow for easy storage. One feature that is absolutely essen … Tags: Accurate Readings, Belt Widths, Collapse, Exercise Machine, Heart Rate Monitor, Home Treadmill, Joints, Money, Storage, Treadmills, Workout
