Whether it be a doctor ready to dish out his powerful bedside manner and fix you or the burly fireman who throws you over his shoulder in a rescue. For men, they may be attracted to the sight of a nurses uniform because women are becoming ever more ‘blokish’ in their ways. Hard drinking, swearing and going all out to be seen as strong and tough as men, the naturally caring and gentle side of a woman is rarely seen these days, unless it’s wrapped in a nurses uniform. Society has blurred the edges of the male and female roles. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for independent women who can hold down a job as complicated as any mans. I don’t believe your sex should determine your brain capacity. But it is simply impossible to have everything, for men and women. Women were suppressed for so long with no rights and being used as virtual servants to men and it took a lot of effort on women’s behalf to be taken seriously, to be given rights and independence. But that should still be a choice. Wome …

Customer Review: Outstanding Training Guide
This book is the finest Marathon Training Guide I’ve seen. It is written for any level runner from first time Marathoner to experienced veteran. The author explains in an easy to understand format the reasons behind his system. This system works! The better job I did of following the book the faster my times dropped. I’ve taken over 30 minutes off my marathon time in a 2 1/2 year period. The book has easy to follow running schedules for a wide variety of training circumstances.
Customer Review: Great book if you want to train seriously for a personal best
I really can’t say enough good things about this book. I’ll start by saying that having just followed the “below 70 miles per week” training plan pretty faithfully, I just lowered my personal best in the marathon by 19 minutes, breaking 2:50 for the first time. I also actually enjoyed running the marathon, right to the finish, did not hit “The Wall”, and sustained my highest weekly mileage ever without sustaining injury. I attribute a lot of this success to this book.

Stories B, C, and D would have to wait patiently in the wings until the star of the show, story A, had been thoroughly researched, absorbed, written, polished, and turned in to the editor. Only then could story B move to center stage. It was a tidy, organized approach to writing — giving my all to every project, one project at a time - and, for many years, it worked flawlessly. That was back when all I did was write. I had no other job responsibilities, which made it a perfect arrangement. My pattern was so ingrained and accepted by everyone that, when I was ready to write, I was permitted to do it at home. This was unheard of in the context of the magazine for which I worked. At first, my editor was aghast. “Haven’t you ever worked for a newspaper?” he would bark. “Good reporters can write in the middle of a three-ring circus.” “No,” I would reply. “I have never worked for a newspaper, and I can’t write in the middle of a three-ring circus.” Of course, writing in one room, while eve …

A Gymnastic Riding System Using Mind, Body, and Spirit: Progressive Training for Rider and Horse A Gymnastic Riding System Using Mind, Body, and Spirit: Progressive Training for Rider and Horse

A unique, highly illustrated book that offers training techniques for the mind, body, and spirit of both rider and horse, including a specially designed Pilates program for riders.

Customer Review: communicate with your horse
This book does a great job of going through the development of rider and horse from the beginning. It teaches you all of the elements you need to be able to have a real relationship with your horse that is based on trust.
Customer Review: A must read
Definitely a “must have” for all those interested in dressage as a sport and for other diciplines wishing to improve their horses. Gives a well-rounded approach to riding including being responsible as riders to be sympathetic and diciplined.
I especially liked the chapter about the horse’s willingness and how to improve that. I give Betsy Steiner a lot of credit for making dressage theory clear and practical while speaking to those with years of experience. Great pictures and summary tables to clarify the rather detailed training maps. After many half-read dressage books that seem repetitive this one will be one I can use in real life as I train on my own at the moment.
I look forward to more of Betsy’s work.

Airzone 13-Foot Trampoline Cover Airzone 13-Foot Trampoline Cover The Variflex 13-Foot Trampoline Cover helps protect the trampoline’s material and stitching against UV sun rays so the trampoline will last for many seasons.
Customer Review: Love it
We live in Hawaii so UV protection is our biggest issue for the trampoline cover. The original one we had peeled up and blew away after a few months in the sun. This Airzone cover is less expensive and shows no signs of cracking after the first summer. Very durable. Good fit. One reviewer had an issue of pooling water on the cover; all you have to do is make a tiny hole in the center and no problem. Great product, great price.
Customer Review: Durable but ugly
This cover is very durable and will probably last for years, but it is black and looks like we used a giant trash bag to cover our trampoline. Does the job, fits well, looks ugly!
