Whether you are looking for men women or children, there are some popular themes from the summer that will run through Halloween. Additionally, the major fancy dress costume manufacturers have been waking up to the fact that there is continued (and rapid) growth in the Halloween costume market and recently there has been a surge in the number of new fancy dress costume ranges specifically targeted at Halloween. So rather than simply identify and repeat what the most popular themes have been for the last few years, we should also be looking to predict which or the newer ranges will be taking this Halloween by storm and challenging for the position as most popular. Pirates This theme should take the number one position due to the popularity of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and the excitement that they have created. This is a fun costume theme and allows the whole family to be involved. The films popularity has also ensured that there are costumes across all price ranges and if you …

For example, if a business is throwing a Mardi Gras party and inviting top clients then make sure to budget a fair amount of money on the Mardi Gras party invitations. First sit down with your event planning team to plan out the party. Get a general idea on decorations, costumes, food, entertainment etc. Once you have the level of quality established it s time to send out invitations with a similar theme and quality. The Mardi Gras party invitations should be representative of the main colors of Mardi Gras; purple, green and gold. For a business gathering these invitations should be professionally printed. To add extra excitement to the invitations, attach and send them via courier with a Mardi Gras mask, Mardi Gras beads, or a feathered boa. This extra touch excites the guest and will instantly pass along the atmosphere of the party. Mardi Gras invitations for a home party need not be as extravagant or expensive. There are several free online e-invitation services where a digital inv …

If you have ever had an outdoor party that lasted past dark, you know there is a need for good lighting. Glowsticks are inexpensive and popular at after dark events. They may not provide a lot of lighting to enhance maneuverability, but they do let you know exactly where little partiers are. They help you keep track of everyone, foot traffic, and prevent mishaps. They are also available in connectible styles, multiple colors, and can be made into necklaces, hats, and different decorative elements. Flashing LED lights are popular as well, and are particularly effective as markers to announce where a party is located, by pointing the way to the action. LED candles and other decorative LED lighting can enhance the party experience by providing lighting that goes along with the theme of the party. Unlike more traditional lighting options such as candles and tiki torches, glowsticks and LED lights can simulate the real thing, but contains no actual flames that can prove hazardous. If you a …

The taking of an insect, for instance, may mean nothing more than a rising trout; but the position occupied by this fish may indicate the position taken by others in similar water. The flash of a trout, changing his position preparatory to investigating the angler’s fly, will frequently disclose the spot occupied by him before he changed his position; and, later on, when the fish are not in the keenest mood for feeding, a fly presented there accurately may bring a rise. The quick dart up-stream of a small trout from the tail of a pool is a pretty fair indication that a large fish occupies the deeper water above; it indicates just as certainly, however, that the angler has little chance of taking him, the excitement of the smaller fish having probably been communicated to his big relative. The backwater formed by a swift current on the upstream side of a boulder is a favourite lurking-place of brown trout. I was fishing such places one day, and found the trout occupying them in rather …

Pool Party Craps This game needs some advance planning, but is certain to keep your guests in and out of the water laughing. Find a large pair of plastic dice warning, they will get wet! Write out a task for each number combination that the roller must perform upon rolling. For example if the player rolls a 1 and 5 they must perform a cannonball off the diving board. For a 6 and 3 the player must do a handstand in the shallow end. Make up a special move for snakeyes or doubles to add extra excitement. This game can go on and on as long as the players are having a great time. SWIM This is the pool version of the basketball game HORSE. Everyone who wants to play should line up at the diving board; those who do not wish to play are considered to be the judges panel. The first diver gets to pick the jump or dive that all must perform from the diving board. It could be any move from a cannonball to taking the NESTLE Plunge. If the diver cannot do the selected move or chooses not to they …

Today, cheerleaders use gymnastic moves and athletic ability to flip, somersault and even catapult one another into the air, with stunts that can rival the excitement of any football or basketball game. In fact, “[Cheerleading has] evolved from a school-spirit activity into an activity demanding high levels of gymnastics skill and athleticism,” according to a study in the journal Pediatrics. It has also become much more dangerous, with the increasingly complex moves putting cheerleaders at risk of potentially serious head, neck and other injuries. Cheerleading Injuries Double Since 1990 The Pediatrics study found that cheerleading injuries have more than doubled from 1990 through 2002. Participation, however, grew only 18 percent during that period. Over the 13-year study, 208,800 5- to 18-year-olds were treated at U.S. hospitals for cheerleading-related injuries. Almost 40 percent involved leg, ankle and foot injuries. Researchers say the actual number of injuries is likely much grea …

Believe it or not in planning a trip to Tasmania and South Australia last year, I had heeded my daughter’s pleas to swim with dolphins by forking out a large amount of money to have us all go out in a boat on a tour, be tethered to a rope, and hope that dolphins would approach us. No guarantees, but money up front; this was to be in Adelaide, after our Tasmanian interlude. It was perhaps the one single planned event that we looked forward to more than anything else. We made our momentous journey over three days, in three planes, and one ferry (great excitement for the kids) over to Tasmania, then to pick up a car and ride across the island to Hobart. Long, but delightful and, yes, I would do it again, frankly. Meeting up with the cousins in Hobart was no less of an exciting moment that anything up until then. A few days into the holiday, kids mooching around one hot afternoon, my sister-in-law calls out loudly from her deck overlooking Blackman’s Bay. Dolphins in the water. Sixty seco …

Baby Goal Baby Goal He shoots, he scores! With this versatile set, even sitting babies can enjoy scoring a goal. By batting the inflatable ball or the wiggly cheetah, your baby is rewarded with music, lights and sounds. Once your little one starts crawling, or can stand and kick, simply detach the ball and the rhino becomes the “goalie.” Toddlers can push, kick or toss the ball at the target, while parents stand back and catch the excitement. Requires 3 “AA” batteries, not included.
Customer Review: Cute toy
I recently bought this for my 5 month old son & he loves it! He is not quite able to sit up by himself yet but with support he grabs at the ball & “goalie” & loves the lights & music. There isn’t much diversity to the sounds & after a while it gets kind of annoying but if he likes it, I do too! Also, the “goalie” is kind of stiff & doesn’t always go off after a “goal” but he doesn’t seem to mind (yet).
Customer Review: Soccer 4 Baby
I love it - and he loves it too! In fact he likes to slide down his little tikes slide and then stand up and go over to the inflatable ball and bat or kick it to make the music/songs play. The songs are fairly long and have a pretty good beat (which he likes) and since he likes to bat more than kick it’s pretty age appropriate for him right now (1 yr old) but we’re hoping he’ll actually start to use it for kicking soon. Seems like a toy that will grow with him atleast until 3 or so. Nice size in proportion to him, maybe a bit small (he’s a big 1 yr old though).
