If you count the 5 minutes of competition in the compulsory portion of the Games, then another 5 minutes in the optional competition, and if the gymnast qualifies to compete on every apparatus in event finals, you could add another 5 minutes for a total of fifteen minutes of potential fame. Wow, the best fifteen minutes of your life! Unless, of course, you get your face plastered all over cereal boxes too! That is the dream of many young girls watching the Olympic Games on television. Maybe even you! But, and this is a big BUT, are you willing to put in the thousands of hours it will take to get to the Olympic level?.
