Gymnastics Moves - What Every Gymnast Should Know About Throwing With the BallPosted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastic Sites and The Best ArticlesThe ball is one of the pieces of an apparatus where throwing is a listed fundamental according to the Code of Points book, though it is of course common to all the other pieces too. This means that particular attention must be paid to the throwing technique and that sufficient throws of various types must be included in the final exercise. Skills common to the other pieces of apparatus, those of swinging, circling and spinning, must also be practiced and included in the routine. For improving throwing and catching technique the ball would seem to be the obvious apparatus to use, but though we usually associate the ball with throwing and catching, the technique used in games such as netball, basketball and cricket is very different from that used in rhythmic gymnastics. The objectives are so vastly different, the games player is aiming to keep possession of the ball within his team, and how he received and passes the ball is of no consequence as long as it is accurate. The rhythmic gym … Tags: Basketball, Consequence, Cricket, Exercise Skills, Games Player, Gymnast, Possession, Rhythmic Gym, Rhythmic Gymnastics

Basketball Trampoline! Now That Sounds Like FunPosted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastic Sites and The Best ArticlesBuying a backyard trampoline is fairly easy, but finding one that you can play basketball with can be more difficult. A true basketball trampoline is long and rectangular and shaped like a gymnastic trampoline. Types of trampolines that you can play basketball on The two main types of basketball trampolines are the traditional rectangle type that has a basket on each end. This type comes in a variety of models and some might even have a partition in the middle. These basketball types of trampolines are usually professional quality and very expensive. The other type of trampolines for sale that might be offered at a better price are regular round trampolines that have a basketball attachment. They are an enclosed trampoline similar in style to a regular kids trampoline but you can play basketball on them. These regular trampolines can be called a rebounder or fun jumper as well. You will find these for sale at a variety of retail store, but you may have to purchase the basketball acces … Tags: Backyard Trampoline, Basketball Sounds, Jumper, Models, Partition, Play Basketball, Professional Quality, Rebounder, Rectangle Type, Retail Store, Sounds Like Fun, Trampolines For Sale

Are You a Hitting “Black Belt”?Posted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastic Sites and The Best ArticlesWhen her daughter had completed her lessons, she was able to do back handsprings, round offs, front flips and so on. Comparing that, she wanted to know if when her boys were done would they be able to hit? I asked her if they were able to hit before they started? She said yes, but not very good. I said, then certainly they will be able to hit when they are done. Surely better than when they first started. I found this question so interesting because it raised the question in my mind of expectations(by the player, their parents or both). If a player has no ability to hit, no amount of instruction is going to help. Additionally, players and parents must understand that simply taking a lesson here or there is not like stepping into a “microwave oven” where you enter it for a short period of time and then you’re “DONE” as a hitter. Take the fork OUT, you’re just beginning. Hitting is a lifelong pursuit that takes constant and continued work. Hitting is a journey of constant improvement, w … Tags: Black Belt, Flips, Journey, Lifelong Pursuit, Microwave Oven, Parents, Period Of Time, Short Period

Secrets For a Happy and Successful Gymnastic LifePosted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastic Sites and The Best ArticlesGymnasts are invariably among the most strong and fit athletes in their classes at school and among all of their peers. There is little doubt that fitness equals attractive. Gymnastics Confidence Equals Confidence in Everyday Life Gymnastics, as an individual sport, most often develops a higher level of confidence than is possible in team sports. Every single skill a gymnast learns is a personal accomplishment of which they can be proud. That pride translates to and contributes to their level of confidence. Most often confidence built in the gym translates to every area of their lives, even to seemingly unrelated areas like public speaking and test-taking. Set Goals, Carefully Work out a Plan There is no substitute for careful planning. We have found the planing process often clarifies both goals and the correct direction in the training process. Written goals and a mutually agreed upon plan allows gymnasts and coaches to define their goals and maximize the effect of their training ti … Tags: Confidence, Correct Direction, Doubt, Everyday Life, Fit, Fitness, Goals, Gymnast, Gymnastics, Gymnasts, Peers, Personal Accomplishment, Pride, Public Speaking, Team Sports, Unrelated Areas

The Sokol in the Czech Lands to 1914: Training for the NationPosted by: Mr.Admin in Gymnastics Training
This overview of the history of the Sokol, the Czech nationalist gymnastic organization, from its founding in 1862 until the outbreak of World War I emphasizes its role in articulating national values and facilitating mass mobilization in the political context of the multinational Habsburg state. By including background on the German Turnverein, this study goes beyond the Czech context to explore the intersection of gymnastics and mass nationalism in Central Europe.

General Aspects of Ninja Training The ninja training was based upon being subjected to unfavorable conditions and aggressive environment. It allowed ninja to get used to being in any stressful situation and react to it in more flexible and balanced way. Training in the atmosphere of real action prepared ninja for being able to work out instant and spontaneous reaction to the changes in the environment, stir up spare capacities of one’s body, use creative thinking and make up quick non-standard decisions in extreme conditions. The study-process based upon actively-dynamic methods of psychophysical training implied paying special attention to creating the conditions of real battle. The ninja were taught how to fight using ninja swords and other weapons in the most accelerated way and intense rhythm and at the same time keep inner calmness, adequate perception, and efficient coordination of movements. The ninja had to work out the … There are cheerleading clinics that train cheerleaders how to execute their stunts properly and effectively. Among the cheerleading stunts perfected throughout the years are toe touches, pikes, hurdlers and herkies. Toe touch is the most popular stunt and the easiest to execute. It s done by making one clean jump with both legs spread in the air while the hands touch the toes. The least favourite is the pike, because one virtually has to fold their body in half while in mid air. Stomach muscles have to be strong in order to jump high and perform the stunt. Tumbling is also a big part of cheerleading. It includes back tucks, back handspring, back walkovers, cartwheels, aerials and round offs. The easiest is the cartwheel, as almost all kids are required to this in physical education classes. Aside from the spectacular stunts performed, cheerleaders are also responsible for spotting and catching their teammates who do the potentially dangerous stunts. If teammates are not caught prope … Tags: Aerials, Cartwheel, Cartwheels, Cheerleaders, Cheerleading Clinics, Cheerleading Stunts, Dangerous Stunts, Hurdlers, Legs, Mid Air, Physical Education Classes, Spectacular Stunts, Stomach Muscles, Teammates, Toe Touch, Toe Touches, Toes, Train, Tumbling
